High Caliber Homes began in 2006 on the slopes of Moonlight Basin ski resort in Big Sky, Montana. High Caliber Homes was formed by Tim Taranto and Tom Hobson, combining their extensive building and business experience into a strong partnership. We are not paper contractors- we are, and always have been, onsite, on-the-job builders. Our projects range from homes for first time buyers to custom ski-in ski-out luxury properties. We are proud of our homes and our references will be happy to speak with you. We are service oriented and are completely accountable to you throughout all phases of the building process. Building is our passion and we love getting to know the people who trust us with their single most important purchase.
Specializing in custom homes, we built luxurious ski-in ski-out homes in Big Sky. As the years went on, we began building speculative and custom homes throughout the Gallatin and Madison Valleys. We build it all, no matter the shape, size or cost- from smaller 1st homes to luxurious ski-in ski-out masterpieces on the mountain. Building every home the right way is what we do best. We never cut corners, we do it right. We have been in Southwest Montana for over 10 years and our reputation speaks for itself. Tim Taranto built our house as if he were building his own. He took no short cuts and used the best materials. He was always open to suggestions and patient with our crazy ideas. He took those ideas, improved on them and made them work beautifully. He was totally honest, more than fair and great at keeping costs in check. He is a superb craftsman and is service oriented.
He worked with us to totally re-design the house when we discovered that our new house plan was too small AFTER the old house had been taken down, necessitating a major reworking of the plan and square footage addition. This was accomplished in a matter of days, not weeks! He was able to work brilliantly with the parts of the old house that we saved, incorporating them into the new house seamlessly. He finished our house on time and on budget. His service and help after completion have been superb. He gave us a beautiful HOME that we love and will enjoy for many years to come.
